“Polarity” A Group Abstract Exhibition
Share
I was so thrilled to be invited to participate in “Polarity” a group exhibition hosted by Old Habit’s Bar in the heart of The Picke District (Perth’s arts hub).
The exhibition brought together, for the first time, Perth abstract artists Pauly Soloway, Eugene O’Sullivan, Maria Tarver, Lance Robinson & myself, resulting in a vibrant & eclectic visual enrichment featuring diverse approaches & unique philosophies that encapsulated the very polarising essence of abstract art & the subsequent “Polarity” theme we had chosen.
It was such a privilege (& a little bit nerve-wracking) to be able to unveil my new collection of work alongside a group of such talented artists. My collection titled “Masked” is a series of nine mixed media, abstract works that I created as a way to start the unmasking process in the aftermath of my recent neurodivergent diagnosis, by attempting to visually express the relentlessly, exhaustive battle of living with the condition.
I want to express my gratitude & appreciation to my fellow exhibitors, the team at Old Habits Bar, everyone who came out to see/support us & of course a HUGE thank you to my new collectors with, not one but, FOUR of my pieces selling on the night.
