Did you know that whales breach to rid themselves of parasites that cause itching?  I didn't, I just thought they were having a crap load of fun in the ocean & smashing around because they can.

This piece was inspired by memories of seeing my first real life whales breaching, far, far, far off the North West Australian coastline.  It is on my bucket list to go whale watching & see it up close one day & I hope the experience feels as magical as this artwork.

This piece depicts a humpback whale breaching a vibrant, multicoloured, abstract background. The piece is minimally textured overall but has a beautiful, bumpy gold detailing around the mouth & flipper.
