They say in nature a flock of birds will attack another bird that is more colourful, because being different is seen as a threat. They say "in nature" but this is a poignant experience in life for many.

This mentality of competition & fitting in fosters a fear of self defined success that hinders us from becoming who we are destined to be.

This piece celebrates courage to break the barrier, to rise above the flock with a hopeful heart. That being different, that following one's own path should not isolate or warrant attack, but rather empower the flock in the spirit & beauty of community, because when we celebrate each other, we raise the collective vibration.

This work depicts a flock of six crows in flight, dripping with colour, accented with various sized decorative squares, some of which are finished in shimmery bronze.  The artwork has minimal to no visible texture.
