Inspired by seeing my first real life toucan while living in Singapore & being in awe of the vibrancy & magic of living in a tropical jungle.  This was one of the first pieces I completed when I returned to my art practice after a 12 year break.

This artwork depicts two identical toucans against a blackground & flanked by large tropical foliage.  It is minimal in detail, but highly contrasted & expressive.  It is minimally textural.
